Captures up to two times more flies than traditional indoor fly lights
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ecolab introduces the STEALTH® Fusion Fly Light, a
proprietary addition to Ecolab Pest Elimination's industry-leading Large
Fly Program that combines the company's patented fly light and
award-winning STEALTH Fly Station technology into one best-in-class
solution for eliminating large flies indoors.
"Large flies can easily transmit common pathogens such as Salmonella
and E. coli, so the presence of large flies inside a restaurant
is a threat to food safety," said Dr. John Barcay, senior scientist and
urban entomologist for Ecolab Pest Elimination. "Ecolab is committed to
providing proactive and discreet fly elimination solutions, and the
STEALTH Fusion Fly Light is an effective solution to help prevent large
flies from impacting foodservice operations."
Ecolab Pest Elimination's Research, Development & Engineering team
developed the STEALTH Fusion Fly Light after extensive testing of fly
behavior to better understand how flies adjust and react to different
types of stimuli. It is a dark, reflective device that uses multiple
stimulating characteristics to attract and eliminate flies inside a
facility before they can become a problem. When placed near common fly
areas in field testing, the light has been shown to capture up to 170
percent more flies than a standard fly light.
The STEALTH Fusion Fly Light will be featured at the Ecolab booth —
#4000 — at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Restaurant,
Hotel-Motel Show, May 18-21, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Other recent Ecolab Pest Elimination innovations include the STEALTH®
Fly Station, STEALTH Maxima® Fly Light, CheckPoint®
Interior and CheckPoint® Exterior Rodent Stations, and
Finito™, a ready-to-use solution for food contact surfaces.
