ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ecolab was recognized for its commitment to the environment by The
Coalition for Government Procurement, which presented the company with
the 2011 Green Excellence in Partnership Award. The award, given
annually to government contractors that demonstrate exceptional
commitment to the environment, was presented Oct. 26 at a ceremony in
Washington, D.C.
"We are honored to be recognized by The Coalition for Government
Procurement for our work to provide the federal government with
sustainable product and service solutions," said Scott Hietpas, vice
president of Government Sales. "Sustainability is a core value within
our purpose to make the world cleaner, safer and healthier."
The Excellence in Partnership Awards were developed 12 years ago by The
Coalition for Government Procurement to promote partnership between
industry and government, and to honor the individuals and organizations
that have made significant contributions to the success of the
procurement system while providing best-value to the taxpayer. The Green
Excellence in Partnership Award, one of 13 award categories in 2011,
recognizes government contractors that utilize environmentally friendly
products and services or manufacturing and operating procedures.
The Coalition for Government Procurement was founded in 1979 to advocate
a common sense approach to government contracting. It is the only
organization in the United States specifically representing the well
being of government contractors whose contracts are administered by the
General Services Administration (GSA), regardless of the industry or
size of the company. For more information on The Coalition for
