Ecolab Inc. announced that it was named "The Best Enterprise in Leading
Sustainability Efforts in China" at the 2010 China Economic Summit Forum
and the Outstanding Contribution Award Ceremony at Great Hall of the
People in Beijing, China, on January 15, 2011.
The forum and the award ceremony were organized by China Economic
Information Journal, part of the China Economic Daily News media group.
Winners were nominated by government authorities, economists and
journalists, and were selected through a comprehensive evaluation
process, including surveys, interviews and expert committee assessments.
Ecolab was among 7 companies to receive the sustainability award.
In prepared remarks entitled "Sustainability -- A Critical Part of
Corporate Social Responsibilities" and delivered at the ceremony, Sam
