ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Ecolab Inc. today announced that its 360° Xplorer control system for
kitchens recently won the bronze medal in the 2010 Dr. Georg Triebe
Innovation Awards in the sustainability and efficiency category.
Sponsored by the German Association of Professional Kitchen Planners,
the awards are announced every five years for outstanding product,
service and process innovations for commercial kitchens in Europe.
The 360° Xplorer is a web-based management system used to capture data
on numerous factors related to the warewashing process, such as water
temperature, pressure, dish machine utilization, as well as energy and
water consumption. Using the collected data, a highly trained Ecolab
sales-and-service representative develops a strategy to optimize
warewashing performance and help reduce total operational costs for the
customer.
"On average, our customers are saving 20 percent in energy and water
consumption using our new system." said Sam de Boo, vice president,
Marketing, Institutional EMEA. "It also helps them reduce warewashing
chemical costs, ensures peak performance and efficiency from the
equipment and supports HACCP compliance and sustainability activities."
With sales of $6 billion and more than 26,000 associates, Ecolab Inc.
(NYSE: ECL) is the global leader in cleaning, sanitizing, food safety
and infection prevention products and services. Ecolab delivers
