Ecolab to Donate More Than $500,000 to Haiti Relief Efforts

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan 18, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ecolab Inc. announced today that it will contribute more than $500,000 to Haiti relief efforts in the form of product donations and a special associate matching gift program by the Ecolab Foundation.

"Ecolab's cleaning and sanitizing products, including waterless hand sanitizers and surface sanitizers, are critical during disasters such as this," commented Douglas M. Ecolab said it will contribute $500,000 of cleaning and sanitation products to help meet needs in Haiti, including hand sanitizers and surface sanitizers. In addition to the product donation, the Ecolab Foundation has offered a global matching gift program, through which it will match all Ecolab associate contributions to the Red Cross up to $1,000 per associate up to a total of $25,000. As previously announced through internal company communications, Ecolab associates can make contributions to the Red Cross International Response Fund for relief efforts in Haiti.
